The Rapid Penang Service 401E is an express bus route linking the city of Georgetown to Penang International Airport and Balik Pulau. It is one of the first express bus services when Rapid Penang was formed possibly due to its long route length and the need to connect Penang International Airport with Georgetown.
While still using the Jelutong Expressway, Rapid Penang Service 401E is currently the second-fastest bus route plying between Georgetown and Penang International Airport ever since the inception of the dedicated Airport Transit (AT) Service which serves the Jetty – KOMTAR – Sungai Nibong – Penang International Airport route.
