Frequent express buses ply the Kuala Lumpur – Penang route daily, with most of the companies plying between Terminal Bersepadu Selatan and Hentian Duta in Kuala Lumpur and Sungai Nibong on Penang Island, usually with a stop at Butterworth on the mainland.
The direct journey from Kuala Lumpur to Penang takes approximately 5 hours.
