The Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal serves ferries towards the Indonesian island destinations nearer to the eastern part of Singapore, such as Batam Centre and Nongsapura on Batam Island, and Pulau Lobam, Bintan Lagoon, Tanjung Pinang and Telok Sebong (Bintan Resorts) on Bintan Island.

A dedicated public bus route, SBS Transit Bus Service 35/35M, serves the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal from Bedok and Tanah Merah MRT Stations.
